Message	i discovered this strange yellow filter when i first popped the hood in my Z when i first bought it, and i still have no idea what it's purpose is. maybe the Z-know-it-all's can help. sorry for the blurry pics, i took them with my iphone in one hand with a shop light in the other. as you can see a vacuum hose like tube goes from the filter down the firewall to i'm guessing to the block or something? i have no idea.
